The following are the tough problems employers are facing in India:-

  • The fact is that people from all over the country have been applying for jobs in the top employable states with highest employment in the tier I cities (10 states). This creates Congestion.
  • Most home states of applicants do not offer better opportunities in education, job or entrepreneurship which results in a mass exodus. Inequality of opportunity.
  • Corporates, MNCs, educational institution, training academy, professional institutes, start-ups, market etc. are found only in 10 (MH, TN, UP, KA, AP, DL, TA, GJ, WB, RJ) out of 28 states in India. Inequity
  • Only 10 states with available skills in English as Second Language: Rajasthan Madhya Pradesh Karnataka Kerala Telangana Assam Maharashtra Delhi Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. Acceptance of global language
  • The inevitable economic shift of skills and employability.
  • Emergence of skill gaps during COVID-19.
  • Skill investment in most of the states continues to be a challenge.
  • Integrating the whole of the Indian sub-continent, resource mobilization, poor connectivity and lack of infrastructure, diverse culture etc. causes obstruction to the road of nation building.

In India we have around 22 scheduled languages and over 19000 dialects. And not just in India but in today’s world, English has become the most preferred language for communication and there are various reasons to it such as:

  • It’s the simplest language of all hence the tag global language.
  • Acts as a linking language between two cultures.
  • English speaking employee are hot potatoes in the job market.

Therefore, it becomes the utmost priority for job providers to look into effective communication in a language that is simple, easy to learn and understood by most. Thus, knowledge of English along with soft skills enhances their employability skills which are preferred by public as well as private enterprises.
However, in rural areas or towns, in the journey from school to an organization there is no pit stop called a training academy on soft skills. This most of the times results in rejection merely on the ground of poor soft skills particularly effective communication and those who make it through the interview get very need-based training which causes an obstruction in their career growth as this approach is neither inclusive nor holistic.
All MNCs, public sectors provide inhouse training to new hires or probationers, but any other external certification will cost a fortune to a job seeker. Hence, we at Deusa Foundation want to pioneer this venture and provide an opportunity of a learning platform on soft skills, technical skills & vocational skills making them not only job ready but future ready as well.
