DEUSA - Making You Future Ready.

Neither in this world nor elsewhere is there any happiness in store for him who always doubts. – Bhagavad Gita

  1. Population? - Increasing
  2. Economy? - Going down
  3. Jobs? - No guarantee
  4. Opportunities? - Blurred
  5. Expectations? – Never ceases, always there
  6. Life going on? - Yes
  7. Still, we live? - Yes
  8. Why? – Because there’s HOPE.!

Confused…...? Yes. Frustrated……? Yes. Like, what are we even trying to say….right? That’s ok because:

Empowering the Society

Elderly

As per the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the elderly population in India is going to rise from 11.5% in 2025 to 19% in 2050. At Deusa Foundation, we aim at creating a society where people aren’t so worried about getting old, where there’s less stereotyping of older people, more intergenerational contact, and more opportunities to see older people as assets.

Youth

India has the world's largest youth population and it provides us with a unique demographic advantage. But, at the same time, more than 30% of Indian youth are unemployed and also not involved in any education or training. We nurtures the youth to become independent and competent beings so when he emerges from the nourishing cocoon of Deusa, they will be ready and skilled to take the challenges.

Women

Our nation is one of the few countries in the world where women and men have nearly the same life expectancy at birth. The fact that the typical female advantage in life expectancy is not seen in India suggests there are systematic problems with women’s health. The Deusa Foundation have successfully trained 20 Tribal Women to be self reliant by making them able to weave the Deori Gamusa.

Give Back to the Society

Project Yuvati

Deusa Foundation, sponsored and launched PROJECT YUVATI, a free general health check-up camp for women/adolescent girls along with the distribution of sanitary napkins, iron tablets, and surgical masks to 40 women at Khanamukh Gaon, Jalukbari, Guwahati, Assam on August 7th, 2021, in collaboration with Rotaract Club Of the Caduceus, Mumbai, an NGO with Medical Students and Doctors.

Project Sahyog

On the 5th of June, 2022, the Health Sector of Deusa conducted its first health camp, under Project Sahyog, at the 5th Battalion Madras Regiment.
Along with the general health & dental check-up, Deusa also emphasized on the tobacco cessation & mental health counseling, because, according to the United Service Institution of India(USI), there has been a significant increase in stress levels amongst Indian Army personnel during approximately the last two decades due to operational and non-operational stressors. " Prolonged exposure of Indian Army personnel to counter-insurgency or counter-terrorism environment has been one of the contributory factors for increased stress levels," said the research undertaken by Col A K Mor, Senior Research Fellow at the USI during 2019-20.

Gamusa, being Aatmanirbhar

With the aim and objective of being "Atmanirbhar" or self-reliance, we supported 22 women to learn the skill of weaving Gamucha [Deori]. This not only maked them self-reliance but also help us to preserve our greatest treasure, our culture and identity of our community.
