Youth Empowerment.

The youth is considered to be the best asset of any country and investment in the human resource promises flabbergasting returns. This is why fears of ‘population explosion’ are misplaced, instead it is critical that we focus our attention on safeguarding young people’s well-being because India’s welfare hinges on them.

India has the world's largest youth population and it provides us with a unique demographic advantage. But, at the same time, more than 30% of Indian youth are unemployed and also not involved in any education or training. But if we are to develop citizens for a better nation tomorrow, we are supposed to not only develop their talent but also recognize and counter the challenges Indian youth is facing at present times.

For young people today, it is more important than ever that they are well-equipped to enter the workforce. Despite having a college education and even an advanced degree, many lack the skills they need to get the jobs they want. And hence, in recent years, unemployment has become a global issue facing young people.

And as the world today is more dynamic and uncertain than ever before. India also undergoes rapid and concurrent economic, demographic, social and technological shifts, it must ensure that its growth is inclusive and is shared by all sections of the society. But, at the same time, in today's workforce, out of the 34% of employed youth, most of them are from urban areas or from developing areas of the states. The people who are living in rural areas or in such small towns are still struggling to earn a livelihood, they are yet to get the flavour of development and the right kind of education.

For this segment, skilling plays an important role. By enrolling in a skill development program or a vocational training program, one not only enhances his/her knowledge and skill but also becomes "future ready" and capable of getting trained for a desired job role. We strive to be an organisation that nurtures the youth to become independent and competent beings so when he emerges from the nourishing cocoon of Deusa, onto the centre stage of life - fully prepared - ready and confident to take the world - head on.
